Haikus on Things I'd Rather Not See at the Movies

Why is it that when

a character feels disgust,

he projectile barfs?

I'll avoid a film

if I know there's going to

be a big rape scene.

When I was younger,

I could stomach slasher films.

Now, though? Not so much.

When animals are

tortured or killed in films, I

will cry for hours.

I close my eyes when

gritty war films involve ad

hoc amputations.

Torture scenes turn my

stomach. No Hostel or its

sequels for me, thanks.

Call me a wussy

if you want. I'm just squeamish

at the cinema.
